Conditions for fixed donations to Land of Hope

These terms apply to all fixed donations made to Land of Hope

Price

You choose the amount you want to donate on a monthly basis (minimum DKK 21).

Having a lot of members is important to us when we apply to funds etc., for financial support. When you decide to support us with a fixed monthly donation of 50 DKK or more per month, we deduct DKK 100 for an annual membership. 

That means that when you set up a fixed monthly donation of 50 DKK or more per month, you automatically become a member of Land of Hope. 

If you do not want us to deduct DKK 100 to pay for an annual membership, we kindly ask you to contact our membership service

Payment

When you set up a fixed monthly donation, the amount you have opted to pay will be charged immediately as soon as the donation is set up. Thereafter, payments are charged regularly once a month (on the first weekday).

When you set up a fixed donation the 20th or later in the month, we will skip a month before we charge the next payment. For example, if you set up a fixed monthly donation on May 20th, your next payment is charged July 1. 

If payment (and therefore renewal of your fixed monthly donation) fails (card expired or cancelled), you will be advised by email when the next payment is due. Use your membership login to pay for the next period manually, by adding a new payment card. Payments are then charged automatically again. 

Tax deduction

Land of Hope is approved according to Section 8a of the Danish Tax Assessment Act and is on SKAT’s list of approved organisations. That means that fixed monthly donations are tax-deductible for Danish citizens and companies. 

If you are foreign national and have any questions concerning deductions, please contact the relevant authorities in your country. If you believe your donation is tax-deductible in your country or residence, you can request a receipt by sending an e-mail to our membership service

Duration

Your monthly donation will be charged regularly and continues automatically until you cancel it.

Cancelling your monthly donation if you no longer want to continue is your own responsibility.

Cancellation

A fixed monthly donation can be cancelled at any time via login.

If you have set up a payment agreement through your bank, it is your own responsibility to cancel the agreement. 

If you do not want Land of Hope to save your details after cancellation, please contact us and ask for your data to be erased.

Refund policy 

Under normal circumstances, we are not able to give refunds for voluntary donations. This applies to one-off donations, membership donations, project donations and fixed monthly donations. 

However, if you make an error while making your donation, or if you have any other concerns regarding your donation or a potential donation, you are welcome to contact our membership service

Personal data

Land of Hope processes your personal data in accordance with The EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data. Personal data is never disclosed to a third party.

We use the type of information about you and for the purpose it was collected for as it appears on the registration/donation form. Your e-mail address will only be used for service notifications/e-mail receipts as part of either your active membership, fixed monthly donations or one-off donation(s).

Your personal data will be deleted when they are no longer needed for the original reason they were collected, processed or used for. 

You have the right to gain insight into the personal data that Land of Hope processes about you, how we use and store your personal data, our basis for processing your personal data, how long they are stored and where the information derives from. In order to gain insight into your own personal data, please send an e-mail to our membership service. 

You are responsible for logging in and entering new details in the event of any changes.
